Based on the intro animation sequence from Team 17's platform game «SuperFrog».
As some of you may already know, back in 1993 I did the introductory animation for the game SuperFrog by Team 17 software. Superfrog was a somewhat Sonic/Marioish platform game starring a frog in a cape. Anyway, I basically gave (Sold, actually) the raw animations to them with a guide to put it together (Custom programming usually beats «MovieSetter» for animation speed) Anyway, I doubt the folks had much cinematography experience, as they often screwed up my timings and put fades in where I meant to have cuts, slowing the timing even more. I'm not saying they did a bad job, I'm just saying that it's best if my original intentions are followed when putting together my animation work.
I had intended to do this animation for a long time (since the game was originally released). I first intended to just re-present the animation with the corrected timing, but this version ended up with a few more enhancements, such as improved animation in spots, new textscreens (Team 17 wrote the text in the first one, though I had some cute suggestions), and a new sense of self-parody. While the animation is essentially a re-creation, it is also a bit of a swipe at the original.
