Death Star Assault Luke Skywalker and a group of Rebel fighters begin their assault on the approaching Death Star. They make it down to the canyon with Darth Vader in pursuit. The fast and maneuverable Imperial Tie fighters are not very strong when engaging on its own, but they are extremely powerful when flying and fighting in a squadron. You don't want to be in the path of a Tie fighter squadron, otherwise, you might not live to tell. In combat the X-wing fighters of the Rebel Alliance usually make short work of them.
